The Co-Occurring and Addictive Behavior Disorders Micro-Course looks at the need for a differential assessment, where the actual disorders are separate from the symptoms. The case will be made for integrated treatment, where all the disorders are treated concurrently, to create the best possible outcome.
Learners will define co-occurring disorders and give a rationale for why treatments must be individualized, specific, timely, and holistic in order to be effective.
